Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter was an American actor who was famous in the film Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The film Piano won her several awards including an Oscar. In her early years, the accomplished actress began acting on stage in various Broadway or Off Broadway productions. The art of acting has been a constant love of life. In the fifth grade she portrayed Helen Keller in an original production. The mumps that she contracted left her blind and deaf in the one ear. But she didn't let this to hinder her ambitions of becoming an actor. When she was a teenager she studied drama, and eventually moved to New York City. Hunter was stuck in the elevator of playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They worked together to write Broadway Crimes of the Heart in which Hunter made her Broadway debut. She made the move into Los Angeles and tried to get film roles. The film, Swing Shift, she landed a role as a support. Holly Hunter has been in several films, TV series and movies over the course of a 30-year career. Holly Hunter won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and also an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
