Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor, producer and director. Her name has been acknowledged for movies like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. She won several awards like an Oscar for the film Piano. Her career in acting started with Broadway by performing in a range of Broadway and Off Broadway initiatives. The actress has had a passion for acting since she was in school. The first time she appeared in a play in fifth grade was in Helen Keller. Mumps made her lose hearing in one her ear canals, but that did not stop her from pursuing her dream. As a teenager, Hunter studied drama and eventually moved into New York City. Hunter had her Broadway debut after an unplanned meeting with Beth Henley, a playwright. They collaborated on Broadway Crimes of the Heart. The first time she appeared in a film was following her move in Los Angeles. In the years since, she has been in many TV movies and series throughout a span of more than three decades. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and the Women in Film Lucy Award.
